Well try anything to cure a cold, but scientists believe the solution could be right under our noses!
In a study of children, researchers found that a saline nasal wash could help reduce the symptoms and reduce the risk of catching more coughs, sore throats, blocked noses and sinuses and colds.
Saline washes may reduce the production of inflammatory compounds or create a favourable environement for cilia - the tiny hairs in the respiratory system to sweep away mucus and particles.
